The North East Madison County Enrichment (NEMCEC) Center was formed to provide community outreach programs that are designed to provide social, cultural, personal training, support to residents of New Market and surrounding areas. These community enrichment activities include but not limited to:
Intercessory Education
This program will provide educational enrichment to students ages 8 – 13 during the fall, spring and summer school breaks. This project curriculum will focus primarily on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
GED Preparation
This program will focus on assisting individuals on GED prep and test taking. It will also aid in ASVAP prep and test
taking as well as Job Corp registration.
Technology Mentoring
This project will focus on the young adults to elder technology coaching and mentoring.
Financial Education
This program will focus on financial education and literacy. Will provide information and training on finance management, budgeting; identity theft; credit repair and investment strategies.
Aging Literacy
This program will focus on aging preparations such as preparing and legalizing wills, estate planning, setting up trusts, power of attorneys, and funeral preparations.
